Our Founding Story
Trupo was founded in 2020 by 21 year old twin brothers Brian and Charlie Trupo while they were in college, fueled by a simple yet frustrating realization. After a workout, Brian wandered the aisles of Whole Foods, craving something sweet, creamy, and satisfying.
As a lifelong vegan, he was disappointed to find that all he could get his hands on was bitter dark chocolate—nothing that truly captured the nostalgic, milky smoothness of the treats they grew up loving.
With extra time on his hands during the height of COVID, Brian took matters into his own hands and made the very first batch of Trupo chocolate in his college apartment. What started as an experiment quickly turned into a mission—to create vegan chocolate that didn’t compromise on taste, texture, or ethics. From creamy oat milk chocolate bars to crispy wafer treats, Brian and Charlie have continuously innovated to bring plant-based indulgence to more people. Their latest collection reimagines classic childhood favorites—now 100% vegan and just as delicious.
Beyond chocolate, the twins are deeply committed to animal welfare, a mission at the heart of Trupo. The company has partnered with over 100 animal sanctuaries and has donated more than $25,000 to support rescued animals. For them, chocolate isn’t just about indulgence—it’s about making the world a little kinder, one bite at a time.
