About Trupo: Veganizing Your Childhood Favorites
Trupo Treats was founded by twin brothers Brian and Charlie in 2020 with one mission: to veganize your childhood favorites without sacrificing taste, nostalgia, or ethics.
It all started in college during the height of COVID when Brian, a lifelong vegetarian-turned-vegan, searched for a sweet and creamy vegan chocolate bar at Whole Foods. All he found was bitter dark chocolate. That moment sparked an idea—why not make vegan milk chocolate bars that taste just like the ones we grew up with? 🍫
Sixty days later, Brian Trupo and Charlie Trupo launched a Kickstarter that raised over $26,000 with nearly 1,000 backers. Brian created the chocolate recipe in his dorm room and went straight into production with a co-manufacturer in NJ. Since then, Trupo Treats has grown into a mission-driven chocolate company dedicated to making delicious, ethical, and indulgent treats that are better for people, the planet, and animals. We've donated $25,000+ (and over 10,000 chocolate bars) to animal sanctuaries all around the United States.
